Firefox 3.0 beta3 for OS/2

現地時間2月13日19:50に Firefox 3.0beta 3 のOS/2 版がリリースされました。firefox-3.0b3.en-US.os2.ReadMeも参照のこと。

OS/2版特有の問題
----------------
すべてのプラットフォームで発生する問題については，それぞれのマイルストーンのリリースノートを参照されたし。

- Firefox will beep when copying more than 64 kB of text to the clipboard. This is to alert users that many applications (most notably the system editor, EPM, and applications running in VIO windows) cannot paste more than this.

- Firefox cannot make use of OS/2 fonts like WarpSans and others which are not available in Type1 or TrueType format. It is therefore recommended to install the "Workplace Sans" font which Firefox will use as a replacement of WarpSans.

それからFirefox 3.0 beta3 の日本語化XPIはこちら。さっき見つけたばかりなので、まだ試していませんが、Mozilla L10N フォーラム :: Firefox 3 リリース日程についてによると「日本語の問題は来月頭のβ4までに修正します」となっていました。

【2/17追記】OfficialなOS/2版についてはFirefox 3.0に注力中のようですね。Firefox 3.0 beta4pre for OS/2が出ていました。公式版のメンテナンスをされているPeter Weilbacher氏の非公式なEnhanced Mozilla packages for OS/2の方では2.0.0.12が(Firefox/Thunderbird共に)リリースされています。OfficialなThunderbirdはまだ2.0.0.9のままですが、マイナー番号が共通でないとfx/Tbの同時起動が面倒なOS/2版ならでは配慮なのでしょうかね。:-)
